Masala Boondi

Masala Boondi is a fried Rajasthani sweet/sour savoury snack made from chickpea flour. Boondi is popularly used to prepare 'raita' in North India. Raita is a curd based dish. Boondi raita typically contains curd (plain yoghurt), boondi and seasonings of salt, spices, chilli, etc. It can also be enjoyed with your evening tea.

Masala Boondi

Ingredients:
4-5 tbsp Masala Boondi, 1 cup Yoghurt, 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder, 1 tbsp roasted cumin Powder, 1 tsp sugar, Coriander leaves , Chopped 1 tbsp, Green chillies chopped 2-3, Black salt to taste.
Method:
Soak the boondi in 2 cups of water for 5-10 minutes. Squeeze water out gently or drain in a strainer. Keep aside. Beat together all the ingredients. It should be of a bit thick in consistency. Finally add boondi and mix well. Garnish with a sprinkle of chilli powder and ground cumin. Serve chilled as a side dish.
