Gathia Tameta Nu Shaak

2 cups Gathia, 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 pinch of asafoetida, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder (optional), 1 tsp crushed garlic, 1 large tomato, Salt to taste.

Method :
Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Allow them to sputter and then add asafoetida. Add the garlic and chopped tomato and salt and cook it until the mixture is pulpy. Add one cup of water and bring to a boil. Add Gathia and stir it well. Turn off the heat and allow it to soak until it becomes soft. Serve immediately and enjoy with phulkas.
